My husband and I go there and get the lumberjack? I could be mistaken by the name is a huge plate of everything breakfast. Food is always great, and I personally love the homestyle poutine! Soo yummy!Couple cons: wish there were free refills on pop, and I wish coffee cups were bigger or more frequent fill-up? The ladies there are really nice, I just drink a lot of coffee personally.Overall great and I would recommend for others to come here! Great serving sizes for the price!

Oh my goodness, the food was delish. Everything was huge portions and freshly made, all very tasty. Staff is fast and friendly, can't ask for better.

Food was good, service needs a little work, bathrooms need a overhaul and good cleaning, price a little high.

Pretty sad when a fella has to go 2.5 hours north to get this level of service and food for breakfast. Don't get me wrong, I have a couple go-to spots for a decent breaky around Orillia and Barrie, but they don't hold a candle to Jak's. The food takes a slight second to the outstanding service.....wow. It makes me think I should go back and rethink my 5 star reviews on some other previous places. Wait'a set the bar, Jaks!

The food is very good and the portions are very generous. Most of the servers are fantastic, except one. I have been to this restaurant many times and have had one particular server many times. She is extremely rude and has no customer skills what so ever. I asked for two waters and she gave me a very disapproving look and grunted while walking away. As soon as we got our food she did not attend to us until we got up to leave. Each time I have had this server she is nasty when we get there and is very nice as soon as we’re ready to leave (expecting a tip). I will not go to this restaurant anymore specifically because of this server.

While driving home from a moving extravaganza from Elliot Lake back to Southern Ontario, and so sick of the usual roadside offerings (ie, Tims/Mcdonalds etc), we googled "best breakfast in Sudbury". This wee gem popped up. A bit of a drive from Hy17 but holy worth it. The place was jumpin, the servers were happy and efficient, and the food was amazing!!! Had to eat at the bar, so had a chance to chat up the delightful owner. Apparently a lot of out-of-towners seek them out. It's so great to see a small, quality, private, do well in our time of tasteless fast food. Check them out - you will NOT be disappointed.

Lots of choices on the menu!I stopped in for lunch and took a recommendation from the waitress. I'm glad I did since it was excellent.The place is generally clean and the prices are ok for the quantity of food received.I'll be trying the breakfast menu next time.For a no frills diner, this is a great option in the heart of New Sudbury.

Truly a Sudbury establisment. Older space but always clean. The staff is great and make you feel like family (with the occasional joke or tease). All day breakfast, and some unique takes on breakfast items to add to the classic bacon and eggs. Portions are very generous and prices are reasonable given the plate sizes. I highly recommend their coleslaw, made in house and full of fresh dill, their fish and chips, as well as any of their breakfast platters.

Absolutely disgusting food would not recommend at all, sausages looked and tasted like they were sitting in the kitchen for hours, pancakes were undercooked and did not have any flavour. Home fries tasted like the oil hasn’t been changed in weeks. Lastly the service was horrible had a waitress take our order had another waitress bring out the food no one came back to see if we needed more coffee or how everything was any refills on drinks nothing. Very disappointed because I use to really enjoy it here but I can definitely say I will never be back or recommend jacks to anyone.

Love eating here. Order 3 eggs not two. Eggs come from mini chickens. They are extra small. Big portions . Good service

This restaurant deserves praise. On a Sunday my girlfriend and I went here. All of their tables were full with a line at the door. Their staff were snappy keeping up with each table, remarkable. Once we were finished we stood up and walked towards the door. Before we had reached the exit our table had been cleaned and another group was being seated. So quick.

Nice classic Canadian diner that does great breakfast special with early bird prices before 930!

This has been a family go to for a good hearty breakfast. Our whole family comes here. Fast friendly service. Highly recommended.

I love having breakfast here. The food is fantastic. The only thing is it gets very busy and small fast . That is what stops us for going more often especially with small children. I do recommend you eating here before some of the other breakfast restaurants.

The staff and food are excellent. They make my family feel welcome all the time. The prices are mid range reasonable and the coffee is good.

Jak`s is my number one favorite restaurant in Sudbury. I have been eating breakfast at Jak`s every Saturday morning for nearly two years now and have nothing but good things to say. The food is always flavorful, the portions are huge and the service is excellent. My favorite part of eating at Jak`s for me is definitely the vibe, very authentic diner experience. Highly recommend!

I had a lovely breakfast with my partner and the atmosphere was even more welcoming and warm than the last. Everyone seems to be in a good mood there, from the staff to the customers. Lovely place with great food. You have to check it out. One last thing, home fries poutine is a must try, as a side or on its own. Yummy!

Good food and excellent staff

The food was good. Minus my burnt crunchy fries, but hey, you pick your battles. Very pricey. Almost $4 for a pop in an average size glass and no free refills? Find that very weird. Could go out and buy a case of drinks for that price. Otherwise, it was "ok"

Really disappointed in the service today. The waitress was either having a really bad day, or she doesn't want to work there.Went to this establishment a while back and it was phenomenal, so I brought my friends for breakfast and everybody was blown away by the food - but the poor service really put a damper on the outing.

Fantastic service and the food comes out in a flash. Great portions, great taste. I was in at 730 am and out by 805.
